Ministry of Defence (MoD) Consultation
It is expected that developers will need to carry out consultation with the MoD to assess Wind Farm Radar and Wind Farm Aviation effects that a proposed wind farm development could have on military operations. Our MoD consultation service includes the submission of a MoD Consultation Pro-forma and covering letter, and electronic feedback of the response.
It should be noted that the MOD should be consulted if a proposed wind turbine is 11 metres to blade tip or taller, and has a rotor diameter of 2 metres or more. The minimum information required for accurate assessment of the impact of turbines is:
