Aviation Risk Data
Overview
Radar and aviation issues prevent or delay thousands of wind turbines. More than 10GW of wind development has been delayed or stopped by radar and aviation issues in the United Kingdom.
Wind farm developers often have rudimentary processes for evaluating aviation risk. It is essential that this risk of project failure or delay is understood and managed. Improving these processes can improve portfolio value, reduce frustration and improve a developer’s competitive position.
GIS Aviation Risk Data
Data provided as a shape file for use in GIS systems to help indentify wind farm sites. Data has 500m post spacing with a combined aviation and radar risk level. Included installations include Civil, MOD, NATS, Radar, Airports, Navaids and more.
Online Risk Report
This report provides the aviation risk level for either a specific turbine location or a site boundary. It has a list of the affected radar and airfields with details of individual risks. This report is similar to Pager Power’s pre-screen reports. It can be ordered on-line with the report being delivered as a pdf document electronically. You can view a sample report here.
