Map manipulation
In order to manipulate the map you can use the existing controls (zoom,pan, background map). Also, you can zoom in or out by double click the right or left mouse button.
Coordinates input
Step 1:
In order to input information you first have to select how you will define your wind farm site. This could be either by the site centre, as a rectangular area (the site boundary of your wind farm) or with a series of wind turbines (up to 10).
Step 2:
Select your coordinate system from the following:
WGS84:
World Geodetic System 84;
BNG:
British National Grid;
ING:
Irish National Grid;
Step 3:
Input Coordinates:
WGS84
: Input the coordinates as
decimal degrees
i.e. Lon 0 Lat 51.4772222. If the Longitude is East of the prime meridian (longitude 0) put a negative sign (-) before the value (i.e. - 0.12433). If the Latitude is South of the equator (latitude 0) then put a negative sign (-) before the value (i.e. -2.1245).
BNG & ING:
Input the coordinates as Eastings Northings using a numeric format (i.e. 538988.42, 177260.01).
